Nature in Queensland is facing increasing and evolving challenges. Habitat destruction threatens wildlife survival. Landscape fragmentation disrupts ecosystems. Introduced species mutate landscapes.

In Queensland, more than 80% of land is privately owned or managed, so how wildlife habitat on private properties are looked after is pivotal. Protecting vegetation remnants and restoring wildlife corridors is critical to the long-term survival of many species.

What we do

Protect wildlife habitat through our Revolving Property Fund

We acquire properties with high ecological values, protect them with a legally-binding conservation agreement, and on-sell into the public market. We’ve protected 101,587 ha so far.

Restore habitat with private landholders

QTFN restores habitat on properties we own and in partnership with private landholders. We’ve planted 301,000 trees so far. We’re also integrating biodiversity conservation into productive land management at Aroona.
